QA Inspector (12-hour rotating shift: 6:00 PMβ6:30 AM; every other weekend)
Essential Functions:
- Sample, inspect, and test (where applicable) incoming raw materials, packaging components, and returned goods to ensure compliance with established specifications; prepare samples for chemical/microbiological analysis and deliver to QC lab; inspect/test packaging components using scales, micrometers, height gauges; maintain detailed sampling/testing records.
- Verify expiry/retest dates for GMP raw materials using vendor COA and in-house COA; collect packaged product samples for annual stability.
- Perform room/equipment/packaging line checks prior to manufacturing stages; conduct in-process testing per batch records; prepare controlled/uncontrolled/packaged finished product samples for QC lab and QA retains; maintain standard weights for balance verification.
- Handle label/outsert receipt and inspection: visual exam, counting, preliminary inspection, sampling; prepare inspection reports; quarantine/release labels; maintain incoming components log/inventory cards; issue labeling per packaging order; complete QA final labeled product inspection and final line clearance (labeling/packaging reconciliation).
- Ensure warehouse segregation (quarantine, released, in-process, finished, packaged, returned, rejected), isolate rejected material, and maintain batch record accountability.
- Monitor facility and product environmental operating conditions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Operate/maintain/calibrate specified lab and tablet counting equipment; collect samples for reassay before expiration; work in contained manufacturing area; prepare APR product visual inspection reports; other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED (Required)
- 1+ year in QA or related field
Skills:
- Basic math and excellent attention to detail; record observations to improve processes.
Pay/Benefits:
- $19.50β$23.50/hour; short-term incentive (bonus/performance-based award) within first 12 months.
