Description Overview
- Ensure quality and compliance of raw materials, finished products, and stability samples through laboratory analytical testing.
- Prepare solutions and reagents for testing as required.
- Use analytical equipment including HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV, and IR.
- Work independently and within a team under supervisor direction.
Scope of the Role
- Perform analytical testing on lab samples (raw material, finished product, process equipment, environmental).
- Test purchased materials and/or manufactured products per cGMP requirements; participate in laboratory investigations.
- Intermediate laboratory/computer skills (physical testing, HPLC, impurity analysis, SAP, Microsoft Office; LES applications including UV-Vis, FTIR, Malvern, Empower as applicable).
- Stay informed on regulatory landscape and product portfolio; participate in internal/external quality audits.
- Maintain laboratory work area; assist with general lab cleaning.
- Apply advanced understanding of laboratory regulations and requirements; demonstrate independence in decision-making and problem solving.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects/committees/mentor program.
- Communicate effectively; support other analysts as needed.
Experience Required
- BS in scientific discipline (Chemistry or Food Science preferred; Biology) with academic lab experience.
- Preferred: 1β2 years in a GMP/FDA regulated manufacturing environment.
- OR: AS in scientific discipline plus relevant training with 5+ years in a regulated environment.
- Strong written/verbal communication; excellent documentation and organization.
- Critical thinking, attention to detail; ability to work independently and with others.
- Ownership of assigned tasks and results.
