Position Summary
The QA Engineer is a hands-on engineering role integrating test automation, software quality assurance, and platform reliability engineering across the organization’s AI platform and web applications.

Essential Functions
- Design, maintain, and implement automated and manual test frameworks for backend APIs, frontend components, containerized services, and AI/LLM workflows.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD QA pipelines using Docker Compose and Kubernetes.
- Perform performance and load testing for containerized/GPU-enabled applications.
- Validate AI workflow correctness (LangChain, CrewAI orchestration, LlamaIndex document processing).
- Develop internal testing tools and frameworks in TypeScript, Python, or Bun.
- Reproduce, isolate, and report defects with high-quality context; drive rapid resolution.
- Define quality standards and test plans with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and AI/ML SMEs.
- Maintain QA documentation (test plans, test case libraries, defect reports, quality metrics dashboards).
- Influence quality requirements during design/development; implement QA-driven process improvements and tooling upgrades.
- Lead integration, regression, and acceptance testing.
- Mentor engineers on testing best practices/tooling/defect management.
- Create and adhere to SOPs and standardized templates.

Education & Experience (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in software QA or test automation.
- Docker/Docker Compose/Kubernetes experience.
- Python and TypeScript for tests/automation.
- React/Next.js/Svelte and E2E/UI testing (Playwright or Cypress).
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).

Skills/Abilities (Preferred)
- AI systems testing experience (LangChain, CrewAI, LlamaIndex).
- Performance testing/benchmarking AI-driven applications.
- API testing frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Postman, REST Assured); observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

Compensation
- Discretionary bonus and equity; base pay range: $130,500–$145,000 (National) or $135,000–$150,000 (Premium markets).
