Job Summary:
The Taproom & Events Manager for Port Jefferson is responsible for the day-to-day operations, programming, and guest experience of Montauk Brewingโ€™s new 800-square-foot Port Jefferson taproom. The role owns the site P&L, builds the local activation calendar, and serves as the on-the-ground brand ambassador. This is a beverage-only microbrewery license location.

Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day taproom operations (opening/closing, staffing, scheduling, inventory, POS).
- Hire, train, and manage bartenders and part-time staff; uphold service standards and brand guidelines.
- Develop and execute the local events calendar (live music, collaborations, beer releases, charity nights, seasonal programming).
- Build and manage local food truck and pop-up vendor partnerships; establish a clear BYOF policy.
- Plan and execute private event rentals (deposits, contracting, coordination); partner with legal as needed.
- Manage draft list, packaged mix, crowlers-to-go, and branded merchandise inventory with Brand/Supply Chain.
- Ensure compliance with NY microbrewery license terms, county health/safety codes, and local ordinances/permitting.
- Liaise with Montauk and Patchogue pub teams; coordinate with Northeast Events & Activations Manager and Brand Managers.
- Build local community partnerships and own in-market marketing voice with Digital & Social team.
- Manage site P&L (forecasting, COGS, labor/events budgets, monthly reporting).
- Conduct post-event evaluations/quarterly reviews; maintain physical site standards.

Skills/Abilities:
- Hospitable, outgoing, brand-forward; operational discipline and detail.
- Experience working with regulators (TTB, NYSLA, health, permitting).
- Self-starter to stand up a new site in the first 12 months.
- Team leadership; strong communication.
- Creative programming for a beverage-only venue.
- Proficient with MS Office and POS/scheduling/inventory tools; P&L/events budget experience.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (Hospitality/Marketing/Business preferred).
- 5+ years taproom/bar/restaurant/hospitality management; opening a new location strongly preferred.
- TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol certification (or willing to obtain within 30 days).

Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing/walking/bending/stooping; light-moderate lifting (assisted kegs up to 165 lbs; cases up to 50 lbs).
- Evening/weekend/holiday work as needed.

Compensation:
- Expected base salary range: $65,000โ€“$72,000 annually; eligible for annual bonus.
