PSC Site Coordinator

Role: Phlebotomy Site Coordinator overseeing patient service operations at Labcorp’s Birmingham, AL location. Responsibilities: manage patient flow, monitor performance and compliance, perform blood collections (venipuncture and capillary), coordinate specimen preparation, handle administrative duties, and ensure quality and customer service standards. Also responsible for staff oversight and site coordination with laboratory teams. Requirements: high school diploma or GED, 2+ years as a phlebotomist, 1+ year in a supervisory role or equivalent certification/training from an accredited agency; strong knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, excellent customer service, communication skills, and ability to work independently or in teams. Preferred: 3+ years phlebotomy experience and 2+ years leadership. Qualifications include proven reliability, flexibility to work overtime, and passing a color blindness test. Work setup: primarily on-site with some travel to additional sites; schedule Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with potential for overtime. The role emphasizes leadership in a clinical laboratory setting with a focus on specimen collection and patient interaction.
