Protein Biochemist – Associate / Senior Associate Scientist

Role: Associate / Senior Associate Scientist in Lead Optimization within Lilly's BioTDR organization, focusing on developing biotherapeutics for unmet medical needs such as oncology, immunology, and neuroscience. Responsibilities: express, purify, and characterize proteins and antibodies using biochemical and biophysical techniques (e.g., HPLC, Biacore, SEC, LC-MS); analyze protein structure, stability, and interactions; design experiments independently; collaborate with cross-functional teams; present findings. Requirements: BS/MS in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related STEM field; minimum 2 years (MS) or 4 years (BS) experience in protein expression/characterization; proficiency in chromatography, protein analysis, and biophysical characterization; strong experimental design and data interpretation skills. Preferred: experience with protein conjugates (ADCs), site-specific conjugation, and advanced structural/biophysical assays; knowledge of protein structure–function relationships.
