Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Project Management: Lead and manage teams to deliver a greenfield Utilities program ($500MM+ USD) supporting Manufacturing, Laboratory, Administrative, and Warehouse buildings on a biotech/bioconjugate campus (clean and gray utilities) from front-end planning through commissioning, qualification, and operational handover.
- Interface/Communication: Lead from a regional distance; coordinate utility tie-ins, capacity allocations, and handoff sequencing; facilitate issue resolution and safe implementation.
- Compliance: Manage projects in alignment with company policies, cGMP requirements, and regulatory/code standards (FDA, ISPE Baseline Guides, ASME BPE, USP, NFPA, local AHJ).
- Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans; ensure compliance from conceptual design through operational verification.
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Engineering or technical field.
- 10+ years capital project delivery in industrial/manufacturing facilities (preferably $100MM+; leading multiple projects).
- Experience managing greenfield projects.
- Relocation/travel willingness outside home state/country.
- US work authorization required (Lilly does not sponsor visas/work authorization).
Additional Preferences
- Biotech/biologics/bioconjugate manufacturing; CUPs and clean/gray utility distribution.
- Clean utility systems experience (WFI, pure/clean steam, USP/PW, process gases, clean compressed air) incl. ASME BPE.
- Site-wide gray utilities; cGMP commissioning/qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Multi-building campus utility delivery coordination; GMP, LEAN, automation, construction quality, project controls, safety/scheduling.
Additional Information
- International travel likely (~15β30%); full relocation to Richmond, VA; onsite required (non-remote).
