This position supports the overall long-range plan by helping ensure the department/functions remains competitive and meets required cost, compliance, and customer service needs and commitments. The project manager works independently with business partners to draft, negotiate, and implement projects that maximize value and deliver results in terms of compliance with policies, and time, scope, and cost. Manages large projects or multiple low-to-moderate complexity projects.

Responsibilities:
- Create comprehensive project plans, budgets, objectives, strategies, and deliverables.
- May manage new product launches to ensure all filling and launch targets are met.
- Translate project plans into measurable actions while executing functional procedures and processes.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, functional systems, ethics policies, and project goals.
- Establish and host periodic management updates; prepare and present written and oral reports to internal and external audiences, including senior leadership.
- Recommend innovative ways to improve performance, quality, and enhance profitability; anticipate roadblocks and escalate when appropriate.
- Develop team charter and implementation plans; conduct risk assessments; develop and implement contingency plans for unforeseen events and strategy changes.
- May manage indirect and/or direct project management staff and/or contract coordinator(s), including workload management, quality deliverables, and escalation of issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or technical related field; MBA beneficial/preferred and/or PMP Certification.
- Proven leadership with excellent communication skills (listening, verbal presentation, written).
- Strong strategy development and planning skills with knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply activities.
- Strong issue identification, problem analysis, and solution development skills.
- Strong workload management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated team player; ability to work in a globally oriented environment.
- Proficiency with common program management communication software tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of business financial systems and tools.
- 5–10 years of experience in supply chain, customer service, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and/or project management; broad business perspective and understanding of manufacturing processes; strong project experience and ability to influence others.
