Project Manager, Artificial Intelligence

Role Summary

Project Manager, Artificial Intelligence. This role leads cross-functional collaboration to implement AI-powered solutions across the global AbbVie Quality network, ensuring processes are AI-ready and providing business support to BTS for AI solution deployments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business process owners to understand current processes, challenges, and determine where AI can automate tasks, improve accuracy, or provide new insights.
• Project manage the design, development and deployment of AI solutions into production environments from a business perspective and ensure integration with existing systems.
• Conduct intake of business AI proposals, determine prioritization aligned with leadership objectives, and collaborate with data scientists, BTS, and stakeholders to translate requirements into AI solutions.
• Collaborate with process owners and data analytics to preprocess and clean data for AI models.
• Coordinate data readiness for AI models including source identification and necessary transformations.
• Monitor and evaluate AI system performance, optimizing and fine-tuning models to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and performance.
• Train and educate teams on AI solutions and adapt training content to the evolving AI landscape; drive AI technology thinking within Quality Operations.
• Remain apprised of regulatory requirements in AI and maintain the global quality system ensuring AI applications adhere to industry regulations and standards.
• Participate in relevant industry forums and represent AbbVie.
• Participate in AI solution validation and approve SLC deliverables as Business System Owner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor‚Äôs degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years‚Äô experience in a global GMP pharmaceutical, biologics and/or medical device company with demonstrated understanding of industry processes and technical discipline.
• Understanding of data engineering and data warehousing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to ensure alignment across functions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Proven leadership of a multidisciplinary team across all levels and functions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently from concept to deployment.
• Passion for staying current with the latest technology advancements.
