Role Summary

Project Delivery Manager at GSK within the R&D Engineering Services (RDES) team, delivering engineering projects to enable breakthrough research and development in pharmaceuticals. Lead and manage a portfolio of engineering projects at Technical R&D sites to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in compliance with safety, quality, and governance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, from initiation to handover, ensuring alignment with GSK standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business cases, project scopes, budgets, and timelines that deliver agreed benefits to the business.
  • Conduct assurance reviews and stage-gate assessments to ensure project compliance with governance standards.
  • Lead risk management strategies, value engineering, and mitigation plans to minimize project risks.
  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring safe and compliant execution of all capital projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging lessons learned and sharing best practices across teams.
  • Actively participate in site and regional governance meetings and operational forums.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years' experience managing complex engineering projects, in a highly regulated environment
  • Required: Experience analyzing budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in (or equivalent) in Project Management, Engineering, or Business
  • Preferred: Proven ability to deliver projects across the full lifecycle in a technically complex environment
  • Preferred: Experience within pharmaceuticals industry
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of statutory legislation and construction safety
  • Preferred: Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams
