Role Summary

Project Delivery Engineer supports comprehensive program and project execution by coordinating with operations, managing transitions to operations, maintaining an organized engineering library, and analyzing risks while delivering progress reports. Includes finance and procurement responsibilities, such as overseeing Purchase to Pay, managing vendor pools, and asset capitalization in collaboration with Finance and service partners. Participates in knowledge-sharing, governance meetings, and operational forums to drive best practices, compliance with Engineering & EHS standards, and alignment across site and regional teams. Part of Global Supply Chain R&D Engineering Services, contributing to Facilities Management and Capital Projects delivery for Technical R&D sites.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with operations teams to ensure timely information for project teams and communicate project impacts on site operations.
  • Coordinate technical engineering deliverables and track actions and decisions.
  • Manage transition of completed projects to operations, ensuring documentation, training, and systems are in place.
  • Manage Site Engineering Library, ensuring documentation is filed, organized, and meets operational and GSK requirements.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and mitigate program risks; produce program reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports to keep leadership informed and escalate safety or delivery issues as needed.
  • Manage Purchase to Pay process for capital projects; ensure timely purchase orders and accurate invoice processing per contract terms.
  • Support pre-qualification of third-party vendors to maintain an approved pool for flexibility and project demand sharing.
  • Coordinate asset capitalization and verification with Finance and service partners; ensure data accuracy and effective changes to ways of working.
  • Performance manage asset capitalization to meet obligations with service partners for deadlines.
  • Participate in Communities of Practice to share learnings, benchmarks, and continuous improvements in Project Management.
  • Engage in site and regional governance meetings with Service Partners and regular operational forums.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelors degree
  • Required: Minimum 3 years experience in facilities management and/or engineering projects
  • Preferred: PMP certification
  • Preferred: Graduate or advanced degree
  • Preferred: Experience with engineering drawings and organizing a library of technical documentation
  • Preferred: Experience in supplier management
  • Preferred: Knowledge of financial and procurement processes
  • Preferred: Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Preferred: Ability to analyze complex issues and implement solutions
  • Preferred: Ability to use/build analytic platforms for data reporting and project performance insights
  • Preferred: Basic knowledge of construction safety
