Position Summary
You will provide leadership and direction to a multi-shift maintenance staff in support of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations as part of a value stream functional unit. Work closely with engineering and production value stream managers and supervisors to deliver zero accidents, zero defects, and zero waste through daily performance management and staff accountability. Work closely with the Engineering Supervisor to evaluate and resolve equipment failures and/or reliability issues. Ensure employee and equipment safety is at the forefront of all activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise equipment maintenance for value stream production shift operations.
- Plan resources with the Value Stream Engineering Manager.
- Support the EHS Zero Accident Prevention Process (ZAP).
- Perform weekly Workday timekeeping, including overtime approval and monitoring.
- Support GPS performance management via daily walkthroughs and performance accountability meetings.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production downtime over agreed targets.
- Ensure SAP Preventative Maintenance Plans are planned, delegated, and executed on time.
- Drive Continuous Improvement via weekly maintenance meetings (failure rate analysis) and coordinate CI projects with engineering supervisor.
- Perform/lead duties in accordance with Zebulon Safety Procedures and cGMPs.
- Coordinate engineering technicians’ capability in new technologies/systems (70/20/10).
Basic Qualifications
- Two-year degree in science/engineering or 10+ years in an equivalent maintenance lead role.
- 3+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical processes, systems, equipment, and applicable government regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent cGMP knowledge; FDA-regulated environment experience.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Equipment troubleshooting; good management skills.
- P&ID nomenclature, instrumentation, electrical wiring diagrams.
- Proficient in SAP (work orders, history, maintenance plans).
