Scope of the Role
- Oversee 20–40 employees across multiple production lines in a pharmaceutical manufacturing/packaging environment.
- Assign tasks, adjust workloads, and schedule training to meet production goals.
- Monitor employee progress and production quality.
- Use leadership skills to solve problems with employees.
- Share specialized knowledge with management to develop/implement ongoing processes or special projects; recommend process changes to eliminate repetitive problems.
- Participate in capacity or budget planning; gather and evaluate information; make/present recommendations.
- Test/evaluate materials or process changes and recommend implementation or rejection.
- Supervise ongoing or special maintenance/installation projects.
- Work with engineering to select/evaluate new equipment for capital and ancillary projects.
Experience Required / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; or 4+ years of supervision experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, including communication, performance management, and problem-solving.
- Ability to provide work direction across multiple production areas.
- Previous experience in an FDA-regulated industry (preferred).
- Experience with production work systems, change management, and continuous improvement (preferred).
- Sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
