Operations
The Production Specialist I will support setup, changeover, and packaging of pharmaceutical products in a fast-paced pharmaceutical finishing operation, maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures; use approved tools to minimize extraneous matter in packaging.
- Perform housekeeping cleans; complete line clearances for lot/list changes; blow down finishing line/equipment (1β2 value streams).
- Assist setup of automated equipment in primary/secondary packaging (1β2 value streams).
- Service and operate automated and semi-automated equipment to produce finished product with minimal supervision.
- Perform quality-impactful tasks during the run (challenges, parameters, sample pulling, in-process checks, bulk/commodity accountability).
- Sustain 6S for parts and tooling across the production floor.
- Escalate safety, quality, technical, and operating issues in a timely manner.
- Communicate and drive improvement opportunities with cross-functional teams; understand and support line priorities.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and make minor adjustments to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent; technical experience/troubleshooting aptitude preferred; technical certificate or degree preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and compliance with site policies/procedures.
- Ability to communicate issues to engineering/mechanical teams.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn new programs/applications.
- Preferred: POMs, SAP, MAXIMO experience.
- Preferred: knowledge of cGMP requirements and procedures.
- Standing 8β12 hours/day; lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Work 40β48 hours/week; may work up to 60 hours depending on manufacturing demands.
