Production Associate I - Cell Culture (Sunday-Thursday)

Role Summary

Production Associate I - Cell Culture (Sunday-Thursday) is an entry-level role responsible for manufacturing HEP & HDF cells in a level 10,000 clean room under supervision. The position involves spinner preparation, seeding, maintaining, and harvesting cells, and may include assisting in the cell banking process. Work hours are Sunday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture cells according to established MBRs and OPs
• Adhere to all OPs, protocols, policies, regulatory requirements, GMP, and safety guidelines
• Ensure cell culture paperwork is complete and compliant with all protocols
• Operate clean room equipment properly
• Maintain required records and adhere to QC procedures, GMPs, and safety guidelines
• Assist in developing, collecting, trending, and analyzing cell culture technical data

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related science strongly preferred; Certificate or A.S. in Biotechnology with 3-5 years' relevant experience considered
• Direct experience with cell banking, cell culture, and/or fermentation highly desired
• Prior experience with general lab techniques including aseptic technique, cGMP and clean room protocols desired
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Aseptic technique, basic lab techniques (pipettes, balances, etc.)
• Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods (standing or sitting)
• Effective communication skills
• Dexterity for repetitive motions and attention to detail
