You Will:

  • Develop strategy and roadmap for data retrieval and evaluation, including further innovation and optimization of existing capabilities and tooling
  • Drive execution as part of a cross-functional team focused on this particular product including Design, Engineering, Science, Data, and Project Management
  • Translate customer needs into user, technical, and data requirements and related resources and iterate quickly on the product
  • Measure and report key retrieval and evaluation metrics (e.g., MRR, Recall@K, MAP@K) to internal stakeholders to demonstrate the value created by the team

You Have:

  • 3+ years as a Product Manager on SaaS enterprise products or platforms with technically complex solutions. Experience working on scientifically-informed data and products, or information retrieval and evaluation systems, is preferred
  • A strong interest in science and AI - particularly in biology
  • A PhD in biology (or a related field) and/or experience and knowledge of Biological Sciences e.g., Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, etc.) or equivalent, would be a very strong asset in this role
  • A proven track record in bringing clarity to a complex domain and driving alignment between technical and data teams, and the rest of the company
  • Successfully taken new features from conception, through launch to adoption, engagement, and retention.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes over outputs
  • Prior experience in enterprise client-facing roles is ideal but not required. However, experience interacting directly with highly technical stakeholders is essential
  • Strong problem-solving skills - can deal with ambiguity, lead discovery efforts, prioritize, and drive execution on objectives, ensuring they ladder up to key strategies
  • A data-informed decision-making process, and can identify new opportunities and provide sound reasoning for strategy decisions from that data
