Product Management Returnship

Role Summary

Product Returnship role within Recursion’s OS Hub. The program is a 4-month return-to-work opportunity for individuals who have been on a STEM hiatus of 2+ years, with mentorship and weekly development to contribute to the industrialization of drug discovery.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision for a core discovery-enabling product within the Recursion OS
• Partner closely with biologists, chemists, data scientists, and engineers to advance the early pipeline through the development of methods for target identification and hit identification
• Define and prioritize product requirements to improve semi-automated evaluation systems
• Plan and coordinate delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives
• Articulate strategy and progress to stakeholders at all levels, from individual scientists to leadership, ensuring alignment and excitement around the shared vision

Qualifications

• 3 years of total professional work experience in one or more domains: Scientific (lab, research, or clinical operations), Technical (software development, data science, informatics, or technical PM), Product (PM, PMM, Strategy, or similar)
• Career hiatus of 2+ years from the STEM industry with a strong foundational background and a passion for learning
• Scientific Curiosity: deep interest in biological science and learning drug discovery terminology
• Stakeholder Management: experience aligning diverse stakeholders to a unified goal
• Customer Empathy & Discovery: ability to understand pain points and user workflows to define critical problems

Skills

• Product Management, Product Marketing, Strategy or equivalent business roles
• Collaborative cross-functional work with scientists, engineers, and data professionals
• Ability to articulate strategy and progress to diverse audiences

Education

• Relevant degrees or certifications in science, engineering, data science, or product management preferred

Additional Requirements

• Location: Salt Lake City, UT headquarters with hybrid flexibility
• Returnship duration: 16 weeks (February 2026 through end of May 2026) with potential for full-time transition
