Role Summary

Product Returnship: Recursion’s Product team translates company-level strategy into specific internal development initiatives and capabilities. We decide what to build and articulate the why, while supporting builders to own the how. We focus our decisions and are held accountable for impact over the longer-term (months to years). Join us to guide the development of the industry’s first truly industrialized drug discovery engine.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision for a core discovery-enabling product within the Recursion OS
  • Partner closely with biologists, chemists, data scientists, and engineers to advance the early pipeline through the development of methods for target identification and hit identification
  • Define and prioritize product requirements to improve semi-automated evaluation systems
  • Plan and coordinate delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives
  • Articulate strategy and progress to stakeholders at all levels, from individual scientists to leadership, ensuring alignment and excitement around our shared vision

Qualifications

  • Required: 3 years of total professional work experience demonstrating a history in one or more of the following domains:
    • Scientific: Experience in a laboratory, academic research, or clinical operations role
    • Technical: Experience in software development, data science, informatics, or technical program management
    • Product: Prior experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Strategy, or equivalent business roles
  • Preferred: Scientific curiosity with a deep understanding of biological science and an appetite for learning complex drug discovery processes and terminology
  • Preferred: Stakeholder management experience, aligning diverse priorities to a unified goal
  • Preferred: Customer empathy and discovery, applying a user-centric mindset to define critical problems worth solving
  • Note: This role is for individuals who have been on a career hiatus of 2+ years from the STEM industry
