Product Development Engineering Specialist

Role: Product Development Engineering Specialist supporting global NPI efforts for new tape adhesives in consumer electronics, with a focus on scaling up and commercialization. Responsibilities: lead cross-functional teams to drive cost, quality, and safety improvements; manage change documentation, participate in quality investigations and CAPAs; identify supply chain and cost-saving opportunities; support manufacturing safety initiatives; develop operational strategies; be on-call for severe service or quality issues. Requirements: PhD in science or engineering, 4+ years in data collection, product/process design, or material properties within private, public, government, or military sectors. Preferred: Master's or higher in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Science, or Polymer Engineering, 3+ years in process optimization, statistical problem solving, and NPD or quality improvement projects; Six Sigma experience advantageous. High-Value: consumer electronics adhesives, new product development, quality and cost improvements, global manufacturing support. Work setup: on-site at 3M Center, Maplewood, MN, with up to 10% domestic/international travel.
