Job Description:
Investigate, identify, develop, and optimize new methods and techniques to generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Read and adapt scientific literature to accomplish assignments and demonstrate broad and versatile technical expertise within discipline.
Responsibilities:
- Independently design and conduct critical experiments that further project goals.
- Implement and may innovate new experimental protocols/techniques.
- Maintain high proficiency in assigned projects and the overall program.
- Interpret results, draw conclusions from multistage experiments, note significant deviations, and suggest, design, and pursue relevant experiments.
- Understand relevant scientific literature and apply theoretical frameworks to solve problems within scientific discipline in a timely manner.
- Perform routine and complex tasks competently and independently; generate reliable and consistent results.
- Impact projects mostly through lab and/or pilot plant based activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
- Adhere to corporate standards for code of conduct, safety, material handling, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (typically 5 years’ experience) or Master’s degree (typically 2 years’ experience) or equivalent education.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out the job functions.
