Role Summary

Procurement Director, North America. The Procurement Director, North America leads efforts to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease, working with Commercial leadership and supplier relationships. Focused on ambitious objectives, accountability, and doing the right thing to drive growth and value for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with one or more US Business Units or commercial functions to build the procurement strategy for the BU(s).
  • Lead sourcing and negotiation initiatives that bring value and align with our strategy.
  • Collaborate with matrix global category Procurement colleagues to optimize global buying power while meeting local business needs.
  • Lead large-scale, cross-BU projects.
  • Support planning and preparation for the launch of new assets, ensuring procurement strategies align with commercialization and market entry needs.
  • Support the Digital Transformation journey by promoting AI-driven systems, tools, and processes to boost procurement efficiency and drive innovation with actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorโ€™s degree or 10+ years of procurement experience
  • Required: 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Required: Indirect procurement experience
  • Required: Experience across marketing, sales & tech procurement categories (e.g., content, media, sales enablement, data & analytics)
  • Preferred: 3+ years Pharma industry experience
  • Preferred: Experience delivering large sourcing projects and end-to-end service implementation with cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: Experience negotiating complex supplier agreements
  • Preferred: Proven ability to deliver multi-year strategy and foster relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Preferred: Agile decision-making, data-driven judgment balancing pace, rigor, and risk
  • Preferred: Experience managing individual and team performance; developing people and building a talent pipeline
  • Preferred: Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen
