Role Summary

Procurement Director, North America based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. You will lead the procurement strategy for one or more US Business Units, drive sourcing and negotiation initiatives, and coordinate with global category teams to optimize value and local needs. You will manage large cross-BU projects, support asset launches and commercialization readiness, and contribute to digital transformation by promoting AI-driven systems and streamlined processes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with one or more US Business Units (BU’s) or commercial functions to build the procurement strategy for the BU(s)
  • Lead sourcing and negotiation initiatives that bring value to the organization and align with our strategy
  • Partner with our matrix global category Procurement colleagues to ensure optimization of our global buying power with local business needs
  • Lead large-scale, cross-BU projects
  • Support the business in the planning and preparation for the launch of new assets, ensuring that procurement strategies align with the dynamic needs of commercialization and market entry
  • Support the Digital Transformation journey by promoting AI-driven systems, tools, and processes to boost procurement efficiency, streamline workflows, and drive innovation with actionable insights

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of procurement experience
  • Required: 5+ years of leadership experience
  • Required: Indirect procurement experience
  • Required: Experience across marketing, sales & tech procurement categories, for example: content, media, sales enablement, data & analytics
  • Preferred: 3+ years Pharma industry experience
  • Preferred: Experience managing the delivery of large sourcing projects and end-to-end service implementation in collaboration with cross functional teams
  • Preferred: Experience negotiating complex supplier agreements
  • Preferred: Demonstrated success delivering a multi-year strategy ensuring competitive commercial advantage
  • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to forge close business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all management levels
  • Preferred: Agile and distributed decision-making – using data driven decision making and applying judgement to balance pace, rigor and risk
  • Preferred: Managing individual and team performance
  • Preferred: Developing people and building a talent pipeline
  • Preferred: Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen
