Procurement and Vendor Operations Associate Director

Role: Associate Director leading Procurement Operations and Vendor Management within Vertex's outsourced procurement model. Primary objectives include ensuring service delivery, contract compliance, and continuous improvement of Procure-to-Pay processes, vendor governance, and operational controls. Responsibilities encompass managing BPO performance against SLAs, maintaining policy adherence, overseeing procurement transactions, and driving automation and process enhancements. The role requires collaboration across Finance, Legal, and Procurement functions, and involves stakeholder engagement and leadership of cross-functional teams. Key focus areas include risk mitigation, audit readiness, and value realization from outsourcing. Qualifications: 8–12+ years in Procurement Operations, Vendor Management, or Shared Services, with proven leadership in high-visibility roles supporting large-scale outsourcing transitions. Preferred certifications include CPSM or CIPS. Experience supporting global, cross-cultural environments with strong knowledge of SOX, audit, and enterprise procurement systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Coupa). Skills: Deep Procure-to-Pay process expertise, vendor negotiation, data analysis, stakeholder management, and change leadership.
