Role Summary

Process Technician – Manufacturing Support/Material Prep (Night Shift). Role supports filling, dispensing, and formulation processes by performing material preparation and executing daily tasks as directed by the shift lead or supervisor. Location: Lilly Research Triangle Park (RTP). Night shift schedule: 1800–0630 (2-2-3).

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily operational tasks defined by the shift lead/supervisor.
  • Focus on material preparation activities to support filling/dispensing/formulation processes.
  • Adhere to plant safety policies and procedures to contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure product quality.
  • Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation (Electronic Ticket, SAP, Cleaning Logs, etc.).
  • Attain and maintain qualification for operation of assigned process equipment and duties in the area.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Proactively monitor documentation and product quality, documenting activities and reporting issues to supervision.
  • Contribute to departmental objectives including improved safety, reduced deviations, increased productivity, and training compliance.
  • Be willing to work 12-hour shifts (2-2-3 schedule) and perform non-routine work with Safety & Integrity in mind.
  • Assist in checking execution documentation (PMX, SAP, Cleaning Logs, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Required: Ability to gown and work in controlled classified areas (Grade C and Grade D).
  • Required: legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship expected).
  • Required: Must pass a fitness for duty physical exam.
  • Required: Availability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule with overtime as needed.

Skills

  • Preferred: Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Preferred: Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Basic digital literacy (desktop software).
  • Preferred: Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs).
  • Preferred: Previous experience in operations/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in a Grade C environment.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • BioWork Certification (preferred).
