Responsibilities:
- Safely operate highly automated equipment used to fill syringes.
- Model current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Learn formulation operation initially, then transition into operator roles in Filling or Material Prep based on departmental needs.
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work Day shift on a rotational schedule between workdays (2-2-3).
- Ability to work overtime.
- Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves, etc.).
- Ability to work in a restricted environment (classified clean room space) for extended periods.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge per governing procedures.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Basic computer skills (desktop software).
- Follow RTP Plant safety policies/procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Follow SOPs and current cGMPs to ensure product quality.
- Support leadership by maintaining high safety, quality, and productivity to ensure reliable patient supply.
- Proactively monitor documentation and product quality; document activities and report issues to supervision.
- Support troubleshooting and serve as an escalation point on the shop floor.
- Assist supervisor with development and training of shift operators.
- Drive departmental objectives: improve safety performance, reduce deviations, improve productivity, and ensure training compliance.
Preferred Skills/Preferences:
- Scientific/technical degrees or certifications.
- Knowledge of cGMPs.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and electronic batch release.
- Experience with solution filling equipment and/or isolator technology.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
