Role Summary

Process Technician - Filling operates highly automated equipment to fill syringes and performs required area cleaning. The role models current Good Manufacturing Practices and ensures compliance with safety standards. They will support the Line Lead in the development of operators and identify opportunities for operational improvement. This role is for PFS5 Filling Day Shift at Lilly.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to RTP Plant safety policies and procedures, contributing to a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of product.
  • Support leadership on the manufacturing floor by ensuring high level of safety, quality, and productivity to maintain reliable supply of products to patients.
  • Proactively monitor documentation and product quality, properly documenting all activities and reporting issues to supervision.
  • Support leadership during troubleshooting and serve as a reliable point of contact for issue escalation on the shop floor.
  • Assist Supervisor in development and training of shift operators.
  • Drive key departmental objectives including improving safety performance, reducing deviations, improving productivity, and training compliance.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required: Minimum 1 year relevant experience (education may be substituted for experience with manager discretion)
  • Preferred: 3+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or equivalent regulated industry
  • Preferred: Scientific/technical degrees or certifications
  • Preferred: Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs)
  • Preferred: Previous experience utilizing solution filling equipment and/or isolator technology
  • Preferred: Previous experience with pre-filled syringe (PFS) technology
  • Preferred: Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release
  • Preferred: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

  • Basic computer skills (desktop software)

Education

  • Scientific/technical degrees or certifications (preferred)

Additional Requirements

  • The position is for the Lilly Research Triangle Park site
  • Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves, etc.)
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (2-2-3 schedule) and stand during the shift
  • Ability to work off-shift for training
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Ability to travel less than 5% for training
