Operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, challenge, replenish consumable supplies, and clean equipment per cGMPs, Batch Documentation, SOPs, ZSPs, and JSAs; maintain inspection readiness.
- Monitor equipment for excessive rejects/stoppages; use performance data to escalate issues affecting product quality, safety, and line performance.
- Follow GSK Production System standards (5S, standard work, problem solving, Gemba, process confirmations, performance management) supporting Zero Accidents/Defects/Waste.
- Participate in performance management entry; complete steps 1–3 of problem solving; perform/maintain OSW and 5S.
- Meet safety, quality, waste, and performance objectives; identify and recommend process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment production stoppages; produce high-quality/high-quantity work.
- Use required systems/applications (e.g., DELTA, my Learning, Free Weigh, DISY, Active Plant, IP21, SAP basic transactions).
- Support technical troubleshooting with other associates/technicians and provide info to supervisory level.
- Demonstrate understanding of equipment theory of operation, product flow, and sensor/limit/proximity sensor functions.
- Perform equipment changeovers and start-of-batch activities to specifications; certify on multiple technologies.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year Pharma/Manufacturing experience
- Ability to handle up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work up to 12.5 hours/shift (if required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data accuracy; ability to use/analyze data
- Mechanical inclination; learn equipment, read gauges/instrumentation
- OEE knowledge; data entry and computer/HMI proficiency
- Application knowledge (e.g., DELTA, my Learning, Free Weigh, DISY, Active Plant, IP21, SAP)
Skills/Traits:
- Visual inspection/detail orientation; document with accuracy; follow written/verbal instructions; independent work; effective communication.
Physical Job Requirements:
- Climb/kneel/stoop/reach/stand/walk/lift as needed; wear gloves/eye protection/protective clothing; work overtime; operate in a manufacturing environment (noise, moving parts, drug compounds).
