Process Engineer

Role: Lead product technology transfer and process scale-up for topical pharmaceutical products, including lotions, creams, and ointments, at Aquestive's manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities: manage process development and continuous improvement projects, support day-to-day manufacturing as SME, monitor and optimize processes, prepare documentation for process changes, develop transfer plans from pilot to commercial scale, establish control strategies, and support deviation investigations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience), 5-7 years in pharmaceutical process development or manufacturing, hands-on expertise in mixing, coating, liquid dispensing, and GMP compliance; proficiency with project management tools and document systems; strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills. High-Value: focus on topical dosage forms, process scale-up from pilot to commercial, cGMP environment, process troubleshooting, process validation, and documentation, with experience in equipment types such as mixing, coating, and web handling. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies is integral.
