Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for OT data platforms by defining architecture principles, reference designs, and best practices that improve reliability, availability, and usability.
- Ensure OT data availability, integrity, quality, security, and accessibility by establishing/enforcing standards, controls, and audits that reduce incidents and outages.
- Coach and mentor distributed data managers and junior engineers; set technical direction, review designs, and drive execution against objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Partner with lab specialists and IT to integrate process control and data acquisition systems into a unified architecture to advance data analytics capabilities and digital maturity.
- Lead IT/OT convergence initiatives to align cybersecurity posture, compliance requirements, and network segmentation.
- Communicate progress and decisions to stakeholders and leadership with clear technical narratives, roadmaps, and status updates.
Qualifications (Required):
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biomedical/Chemical/Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of proven experience; or MS with 7+ years; or PhD with 0β3 years.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- 5+ years with AVEVA PI System (Data Archive, Asset Framework) and Ignition SCADA, including high-availability design, data modeling, and integrations.
- SQL (database owner role); OT data systems design/deployment/lifecycle management in high-availability industrial architectures.
- Familiarity with control systems architecture, ISA-95, S88, OPC, MQTT.
- Knowledge of continuous and batch manufacturing processes; lab automation tools; growing Python proficiency; Industry 4.0/IT-OT convergence.
