Role: Process Development Engineer II supporting bioconjugation technology within Regeneron's Preclinical Manufacturing & Process Development group. Objectives include developing scalable, GMP-ready conjugation and purification processes for protein bioconjugates, applying QbD principles, and facilitating technology transfer to manufacturing partners. Responsibilities encompass bench-scale process design, analytical characterization, data analysis, technical documentation, process transfer, and supporting GMP scale-up activities; mentoring junior staff and researching process improvements. Requirements: Bachelor's (5-6 yrs) or Master's (3-4 yrs) in chemical/biochemical engineering or related field; hands-on experience with bioconjugation (lysine, cysteine, site-specific) and downstream purification (chromatography, ultrafiltration); proficiency with analytical tools (mass spectrometry, HPLC, electrophoresis, UV). Preferred: antibody conjugates experience, strong understanding of protein purification, cross-functional collaboration skills.
