Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments to develop robust manufacturing processes for cell therapy products; support clinical development programs.
- Mentor bioprocess scientific associates in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- Coordinate departmental communication to plan ongoing studies (set goals, schedules, and delegation).
- Develop expertise in pluripotent stem cell culture and differentiation for process development, optimization, and characterization.
- Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical issues.
- Document procedures/results in an electronic lab notebook; perform statistics and advanced analytics.
- Track progress, escalate business-critical supply/timeline issues, and recommend mitigations.
- Collaborate to resolve issues and lead integrated projects.
- Coordinate team priorities/resources and generate/review protocols and technical reports.

Knowledge and Skills (Qualifications/Requirements/Preferred):
- Independent experience designing, executing, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting cell culture process development studies for biologics/cell therapy.
- Bioreactor process control and SCADA; bioreactor design and scale-up.
- Online/inline analytics; bioreactor feeding tech; unit operations (continuous centrifugation, buffer exchange, filtration).
- Experience with cell processing devices and bioreactor platforms (e.g., spinner flasks, fixed bed, stirred tank, AMBR).
- Verbal/written communication, organization, attention to detail.
- Cross-functional collaboration; manage multiple priorities and changing timelines.
- DOE and statistical analysis (e.g., JMP).
- Aseptic technique.
- GMP knowledge applied to process development.
- Preferred: pluripotent stem cell culture in adherent and suspension formats.

Education and Experience:
- BS in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or related field; plus 6+ years experience; or MS with 3+ years; or PhD with 0–3 years.

Pay Range:
- $104,000–$156,000; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
