Role Summary

Process Automation Engineer SAP BTP at Elanco. Hands-on builder of business process transformation, developing, testing, and deploying robust automation solutions with a focus on SAP BTP to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort across the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop Automation Solutions: Design, develop, and configure process automations using SAP BTP, Agentic AI, scripting, and workflow engines based on technical designs and business requirements.
• Test and Deploy: Conduct rigorous testing and debugging; manage deployment and release processes.
• Provide Technical Support: Act as a key contact for deployed automations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements.
• Create Documentation: Develop and maintain clear technical documentation for automation solutions, including process flows and support guides.
• Adhere to Standards: Follow architectural patterns, best practices, and governance standards established by the Process Automation and SaaS Architect.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with business analysts to understand processes and with the Architect to translate designs into code.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor live automations and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: 2+ years developing automation solutions, including bots, workflows, and integrations using APIs and related techniques.
• SAP BTP Expertise: Experience with SAP BTP, including Process Automation, Integration Suite, Extension Suite, and Business Application Studio.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• API Integration: Experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Cloud Platform Proficiency: Experience with public cloud (Azure, GCP) and their automation services (e.g., Azure Logic Apps).
• DevSecOps: Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform, and related tooling.
• Model Context Protocol: Understanding of frameworks linking AI solutions to external tools and data sources.
