Role Summary

Process Automation Engineer responsible for hands-on development, testing, and deployment of automation solutions with a focus on SAP BTP to transform business processes across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Automation Solutions: Design, develop, and configure process automations using SAP BTP, Agentic AI, scripting, and workflow engines based on technical designs and business requirements.
  • Test and Deploy: Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure automations are reliable and production-ready; manage deployment and release processes.
  • Provide Technical Support: Serve as a primary contact for deployed automations, troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance, and implement enhancements.
  • Create Documentation: Develop and maintain clear technical documentation for all automation solutions, including process flows and support guides.
  • Adhere to Standards: Follow architectural patterns, best practices, and governance standards set by the Process Automation and SaaS Architect.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with business analysts to understand processes and translate designs into functional code.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor live automations and identify opportunities for optimization.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Required Experience: 2+ years developing automation solutions (bots, workflows, integrations) using modern programming techniques (APIs, etc.).
  • SAP BTP Expertise: Experience with SAP BTP services (Process Automation, Integration Suite, Extension Suite, Business Application Studio).
  • Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • API Integration: Experience with REST and SOAP APIs to integrate automations with enterprise systems.
  • Model Context Protocol: Understanding of AI integration frameworks for external tools and data sources.
  • Cloud Platform Proficiency: Experience with public clouds (Azure and GCP) and their automation services (e.g., Azure Logic Apps).
  • DevSecOps: Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Docker/Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
