Serves as a liaison between engineering, customer support, verification, and global development teams, managing software changes per regulatory standards. Requires collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and oversight of software validation and configuration management. Work involves supporting both on-market devices and post-market updates, with a focus on safety, quality, and regulatory adherence. Location is onsite in Lake Forest, CA, with an estimated 10-20% travel. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience, strong skills in C++, C#, and hardware/software interfaces within RTOS and Windows environments. Highly desired skills include MATLAB, LabVIEW, FPGA, firmware, camera integration, and familiarity with cybersecurity, FDA/ISO regulations, and software lifecycle processes (IEC 62304). Medical device experience and cross-disciplinary communication skills are preferred, with a focus on medical imaging technologies, firmware interaction, and regulatory compliance for ophthalmic products.
