Role: Principal Scientist, Vector Biology leading receptor and viral-entry research to inform therapeutic development in Innovative Medicine at Johnson & Johnson. Responsibilities: design and validate cell-based assays for receptor localization, ligand/virus binding, endocytosis, and viral transduction; dissect mechanisms of enveloped virus entry; utilize lentiviral systems; develop scalable workflows; collaborate cross-functionally with protein engineering, analytics, and CMC teams; present findings internally and externally. Qualifications: PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Virology, or related fields; 3-6 years industry experience, with proven leadership; expertise in mammalian cell culture, receptor biology, viral entry, lentiviral vector workflows; strong data analysis and scientific communication skills. Preferred: experience with pseudovirus/live virus assays under BSL2, high-throughput screening, and publications in receptor or vector biology. High-Value: focus on viral entry mechanisms, receptor-ligand interactions, lentiviral vectors, cell-based assay development, and translational research for gene delivery platforms.
