Role: Principal Scientist leading upstream biologics process development within Biologics Process R&D, focusing on cell culture optimization for early- and late-stage clinical and commercial manufacturing. Responsibilities: direct development of high-yield, scalable, robust cell culture processes; provide technical guidance for process characterization, regulatory filings, and technology transfer; drive process innovation and assess new technologies through collaborations; mentor junior staff and contribute to external scientific dissemination. Requirements: Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field with 6+ years or Master's with 8+ years industry experience; proven expertise in CHO fed-batch culture, bioreactor operations, and downstream understanding; strong publication record; familiarity with process development, scale-up, and regulatory processes. Preferred: experience with advanced cell culture modalities such as intensified inoculum, perfusion, high throughput microbioreactors; expertise in data science (metabolic flux, omics, machine learning) and PAT tools; cross-functional team leadership.
