Role: Principal Scientist providing strategic biomarker leadership within Oncology and Hematology drug development programs. Focuses on designing, executing, and translating biomarker strategies to inform program decisions across early to late clinical stages. Responsibilities: develop integrated, hypothesis-driven biomarker plans addressing target engagement, patient selection, response, resistance, and dosing; collaborate across functions such as Discovery, Clinical, Data Science, and Diagnostics; interpret complex biomarker data, and support regulatory and publication efforts. Qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent with significant experience in oncology/hematology translational research or biomarker science; expertise in cancer biology, molecular modalities (NGS, ctDNA, immunohistochemistry, etc.), and clinical development; strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills. Preferred: experience supporting multiple clinical stages, biomarker modalities for targeted/immuno-therapies, and companion diagnostics. High-value biopharma specifics: focus on solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, molecular and cellular biomarker approaches, and potential contributions to precision medicine and regulatory biomarker strategies. Work setup: hybrid in the US with approximately 10% travel. Senior-level role emphasizing scientific leadership, cross-functional influence, and strategic biomarker development to accelerate oncology and hematology therapeutic programs.
