Role: Principal Scientist providing strategic and scientific leadership in biomarker development across oncology and hematology programs, spanning early to late clinical stages. Responsibilities: develop integrated biomarker strategies aligned with therapeutic mechanisms, disease biology, and clinical endpoints; translate biological hypotheses into measurable biomarker approaches; collaborate across functions such as Discovery, Clinical Development, Data Science, and Pathology; interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights; support biomarker-driven program decisions, including patient selection and resistance mechanisms; contribute to biomarker and companion diagnostic strategies, and mentor scientists. Requirements: Ph.D. or M.D. with extensive experience in oncology, hematology, or translational medicine; proven expertise in developing biomarker strategies with modalities like NGS, ctDNA, MRD, immunohistochemistry, or gene expression profiling; ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making; strong analytical, scientific communication, and strategic thinking skills. Preferred: experience in targeted therapies, immune-oncology, cell therapies, or diagnostic development; familiarity with regulatory considerations. HighValue: focus on molecular and cellular biomarker modalities, disease heterogeneity, resistance, and response prediction in solid tumors and hematologic malignancies; supporting clinical-stage programs with a hybrid work setup; travel approximately 10%. The role emphasizes decision-focused biomarker strategies to inform drug development and potential regulatory submissions.
