Role: Principal Scientist providing strategic biomarker leadership within cardiovascular, metabolic, infectious diseases, and vaccines development programs. Objectives include designing, executing, analyzing, and communicating translational and clinical biomarker strategies across various stages of clinical development. Responsibilities involve translating disease biology and therapeutic mechanisms into decision-focused biomarker plans to inform program decisions such as target engagement, patient stratification, and response assessment, with close cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent with extensive experience in translational or clinical biomarker development, particularly in cardiovascular, metabolic, infectious disease, or vaccine areas. Skills include translating scientific hypotheses into actionable strategies, data interpretation, and influencing in matrixed environments. Preferred qualifications encompass experience supporting multi-stage clinical programs, biomarker strategies for pharmacodynamics and patient stratification, and mentoring. High-value biopharma specifics: focus on early to late clinical development, translational medicine, and biomarker science for biologics, small molecules, or vaccines targeting CVM and infectious diseases. The role involves stakeholder communication, working closely with Discovery, Clinical, Data Science, Regulatory, and other teams. Work setup is hybrid with approximately 10% travel.
