Role: Principal Scientist providing strategic biomarker leadership within Neuroscience drug development, focusing on translational and clinical biomarker strategies across early to late phases. Responsibilities: develop integrated biomarker plans translating disease biology and therapeutic mechanisms into hypotheses; inform decision-making on target engagement, dose regimens, patient stratification, and response assessment; collaborate with cross-functional teams including Discovery, Clinical Development, and Data Science; interpret complex datasets for actionable insights; evaluate emerging biomarker technologies; communicate strategies and findings to stakeholders; mentor biomarker scientists; contribute to scientific publications and collaborations. Requirements: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent with 10+ years in neuroscience, translational medicine, or biomarker science; extensive experience in developing and executing biomarker strategies in drug development, especially within neurodegeneration or neurological disorders; strong understanding of mechanism of action, disease biology, pharmacodynamics, and clinical endpoints; proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment; excellent analytical, scientific communication, and strategic thinking skills. Preferred: experience across multiple clinical stages, biomarker modalities like fluid sampling, imaging, digital tools, and supporting programs in neurodegenerative disease areas.
