Principal Scientist, Staff Veterinarian

Role: Staff Veterinarian within Bristol Myers Squibb's Veterinary Sciences team, providing high-quality veterinary care for research animals and supporting scientific research and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, surgical procedures, anesthesia, disease management, and oversight of GLP studies, with cross-coverage at NBR site. Collaborates with scientific staff on protocol development, training, and IACUC activities, supervising staff as needed. Qualifications: DVM or equivalent, licensed in the U.S., experience with laboratory animals, knowledge of regulatory guidelines (FDA, USDA, IACUC, AAALAC), and interest in surgical models and anesthesia (preferred). Experience with large species like nonhuman primates and swine is advantageous.
