Principal Scientist, R&D Data, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence - Immunology

Role: Principal Scientist, R&D Data, Data Science & AI (DDSAI) - Immunology, focusing on advancing data science, digital health, and AI strategies within Johnson & Johnson's Immunology Therapeutic Area. Responsibilities: collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement high-impact data-driven solutions, evaluate emerging AI technologies like generative AI, and translate scientific needs into practical analytics and digital health applications. Work involves designing scalable data capabilities, optimizing workflows, and integrating diverse datasets such as clinical, imaging, and real-world data to improve R&D decision-making and research execution. Requirements: Master’s in engineering, mathematics, or related fields; 4+ years in pharmaceutical R&D, biotech, healthcare, or data science; experience in applying AI and digital health solutions; strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Preferred: advanced degrees, immunology or therapeutic area experience, proficiency with analytics tools (Python, R, SQL), and prior work with healthcare datasets and ML/AI deployment. Location: onsite at one of Johnson & Johnson’s US campuses (Cambridge, Spring House, San Diego, Titusville, Raritan); some travel expected. The role emphasizes innovation in digital health, AI, and analytics to support immunology drug discovery and development.
