Principal Scientist, R&D Data, Data Science & Artificial Intelligence - Immunology

Role: Principal Scientist in R&D Data Science & AI (DDSAI) focusing on Immunology at Johnson & Johnson, responsible for designing and executing data science, digital health, and AI strategies aligned with Immunology R&D goals. Responsibilities include partnering with cross-functional teams to develop high-impact data-driven solutions, evaluating emerging technologies like generative AI, and translating scientific needs into practical applications to enhance research decision-making and workflows. The role involves understanding diverse healthcare data assets, mapping operational processes for automation, and contributing to scalable, interoperable digital capabilities. Qualifications: Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; PhD preferred. Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, healthcare, or biotechnology, with expertise in data science, AI, digital health, and healthcare datasets (clinical trial, real-world, imaging, biomarker). Skills in Python, R, SQL, cloud platforms, and machine learning are desirable. Experience supporting Immunology or related therapeutic areas, delivering digital transformation initiatives, and working with healthcare data platforms is preferred. The position is based in the US (Cambridge, Spring House, San Diego, Titusville, or Raritan) with travel expected for cross-functional activities.
