Responsibilities:
- Define and champion strategic vision and scientific rationale for clinical biomarker plans across Immunology & Inflammation, Ophthalmology, and/or Infectious Disease programs.
- Serve as a Precision Medicine representative on clinical development teams; drive biomarker strategy from concept through execution, data delivery, and interpretation.
- Partner with clinical and laboratory operations to implement biomarker and exploratory sample collection and analyses.
- Ensure clinical biomarker assays are fit-for-purpose (internal or via external collaborators/CROs).
- Present translational project plans, biomarker data, and results to internal/external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Contribute to Precision Medicine content for clinical protocols, study reports, data reviews, biomarker reports, and manuscripts/publications.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience in Immunology or closely related field (highly desirable).
- 5+ years relevant experience in pharma/biotech research and/or translational clinical development.
- Strong understanding of clinical biomarker strategy, including assay development, validation, and implementation (track record of high-impact contributions is a plus).
- Ability to translate complex biology into testable biomarker hypotheses and decision criteria.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design/operationalize/troubleshoot end-to-end biomarker plans globally.
- Exceptional communicator with emotional intelligence; collaborative and innovative in matrixed environments.
- Experience authoring industry documents (protocols, CSRs, biomarker reports) (plus).
