Principal Scientist, Precision Medicine Strategy Lead (Clinical Biomarkers)

Discover Your Role
- Define and champion the strategic vision and scientific rationale for clinical biomarker plans across Immunology & Inflammation, Ophthalmology, and/or Infectious Disease programs.
- Represent Precision Medicine on clinical development teams, driving biomarker strategy from concept through execution and interpretation.
- Partner with clinical and laboratory operations to implement biomarker and exploratory sample collection and analyses.
- Ensure clinical biomarker assays are fit-for-purpose, whether developed internally or via external collaborators and CROs.
- Present translational project plans, biomarker data, and results to internal/external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Contribute Precision Medicine content to clinical protocols, study reports, data reviews, biomarker reports, and manuscripts/publications.
- Translate immunology/disease biology into clear, testable biomarker hypotheses and decision criteria.
- Navigate ambiguity and prioritize across multiple programs in a collaborative, matrixed environment.

This Role Requires
- Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience in Immunology or closely related field (highly desirable); 5+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biotech research and/or translational clinical development.
- Exceptional communication skills and strong emotional intelligence, including presenting to senior leaders.
- Collaborative, innovative mindset in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Understanding of biomarker strategy in clinical development, including assay development, validation, and implementation.
- Preferred: track record of high-impact contributions to drug development programs.
- Preferred: experience authoring industry documents (protocols, CSRs, biomarker reports).
- Alternative levels may be considered commensurate with experience.
