What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the research strategy for multiple oncology programs by designing and executing critical experimental studies to advance understanding of Nuvation Bio compounds.
- Plan studies, design protocols, execute studies, and analyze data for pharmacology and mechanism of action studies.
- Manage outsourced studies with external vendors/CROs/academic collaborators.
- Provide data to medicinal chemists critical to SAR/biochemical characterization of early-stage programs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the research team to facilitate success of Nuvation projects.
- Contribute to scientific community through conference presentations and publications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- PhD in a relevant biological discipline with 5+ years’ experience (preferred), or MS with 7+ years, or Bachelor’s with 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Broad expertise in cancer cell biology; knowledge of in vitro and in vivo oncology model systems.
- Expertise in evaluation/development of small molecules.
- Strong oncology track record with multiple fields of biology reflected in successful projects and publications.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and strategic skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
