Role: Senior scientific leader in Biologics Analytical R&D, responsible for defining analytical strategies and leading a team to solve complex biologics assay challenges. Objectives include advancing development of biologic APIs through analysis of proteins, antibodies, and conjugates, supporting clinical and process development. Responsibilities encompass oversight of analytical method development, validation, and transfer, with a focus on chromatography, electrophoresis, and immunoassays, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical excellence. Requirements: Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or biochemistry with 8+ years (or equivalent experience with MS/B.S.) in pharma; extensive expertise in biologics analysis, residual assays, and process control strategies; proven leadership in mentoring and project management; strong scientific publication record. Preferred skills include knowledge of glycan analysis, protein degradation mechanisms, assay qualification/validation, and experience with GxP environments. High-value specifics: biologics (mAbs, ADCs, fusion proteins), analytical techniques (SEC, IEX, CE), support for IND/regulatory filings, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, quality, and manufacturing teams. Work setup: on-site Rahway, NJ, with approximately 10% travel.
