Role: Principal Scientist specializing in Imaging Analytics within Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division, focusing on applying AI to early-phase oncology imaging datasets. Objectives: Transform routine CT, MRI, and PET scans into actionable insights to support clinical decision-making, response assessment, and dose optimization in oncology trials. Responsibilities include leading end-to-end AI application development (e.g., segmentation, radiomics, predictive modeling), collaborating with internal teams and external partners to advance imaging AI tools, and translating complex quantitative findings into clear scientific narratives for cross-functional stakeholders. The role entails publishing and presenting at top scientific conferences. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar; 3+ years post-doctoral or industry experience in medical imaging AI (CT, MRI, PET) in clinical settings; proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and medical imaging libraries (e.g., MONAI, SimpleITK). Experience with cloud ML infrastructure, DICOM workflows, and multimodal imaging is essential. Preferred: expertise in solid-tumor imaging (lung, head & neck), familiarity with oncology endpoints (RECIST, PERCIST), and experience managing external AI vendors and collaborations. The position offers locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Massachusetts, with an emphasis on innovative research impacting oncology drug development.
