Role Summary
Principal Scientist I, Immunology/Dermatology. Lead research in inflammatory skin diseases using complex human models, acting as a principal investigator and owning project science within area of expertise. Primary author of publications, presentations, and patents, and mentor to a developing team; will present findings at leading scientific conferences.
Responsibilities
- Act as a principal investigator, generate and lead original ideas, strategies, and new scientific proposals in the area of inflammatory skin diseases with the use of complex human models.
- Anticipate, critically evaluate, and respond to scientific, regulatory, or competitive advances and threats.
- Independently responsible for project science within area of expertise on project teams.
- Primary author of publications, presentations, regulatory documents, and/or primary inventor of patents.
- Present at leading scientific conferences.
- Understand and adhere to corporate code of conduct and safety standards.
- Mentor a team and evaluate performance.
Qualifications
- Required: PhD in biological sciences, bioengineering, or chemical engineering.
- Required: 1 year developing and implementing complex in vitro human models for drug discovery with a pharmaceutical company.
- Required: 1 year developing and validating human tissue-on-a-chip models.
- Required: 1 year growing primary human tissue culture including multiple cell types in a co-culture.
- Required: 1 year performing data and image acquisition analysis and presentation.
