Principal Scientist I, Chemistry

Role: Principal Research Scientist I in Product Development Science & Technology, focusing on late-stage development and commercialization of small molecule therapies. Objectives include leading cross-functional projects related to manufacturing process development, process characterization, technology transfer, and supporting manufacturing activities throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities: design and execute laboratory experiments, set project strategies, author technical and regulatory documents, and provide scientific leadership within matrix teams. Collaborates with chemists, engineers, regulatory, and quality groups, acting as a subject matter expert. Qualifications: PhD in organic chemistry or related field with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent with more experience; expertise in organic synthesis, process development, control strategies, and analytical techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, NMR). Demonstrated success in scientific communication, publications, patents, and leadership in cross-functional teams. Preferred: experience with small molecule manufacturing and scale-up, regulatory documentation, and GxP compliance.
